1972 Cross Country Team

The second year of intercollegiate competition for the Carl Sandburg Cross Country Team was in 1972. Sandburg finished fourth in the Arrowhead Athletic Conference. Current Sandburg cross country head coach, Bruce Tracy placed 26th out of a hundred runners in the 1972 Region IV meet and was named to the All-Conference Team, as well as voted the team´s Most Valuable Player. Charlie Deal was voted the Most Improved Player.
